Loft Conversions
Another of our favourite London loft conversions is this Putney project completed in late 2008. The conversion was to terraced property which benefited from a very generous roof height enabling us to achieve a 2.4 metre finished ceiling height – something any loft conversion company would be proud of. At Loft King we always go to the extra effort of maximising the ceiling height of every project we undertake. Head height is often the biggest constraint when considering a loft conversion in London but you can rest assured we will do our absolute best to maximise the space available.
This loft conversion incorporates an ensuite which we were able to situate under the roadside slope. This is often our preferred design layout as it leaves more space for the bedroom and makes good use of an otherwise difficult to use area. Another clever trick is to position a Velux window above the WC which will create an additional 250mm of headroom thus allowing the WC to be situated further under the slope leaving even more space for the bedroom.
As you can see from the photos below this London loft conversion also incorporates French doors and a Juliet balcony and balustrade to maximise natural light within the room. French doors can be constructed from UPVC, timber or even aluminium. Different materials can impact loft conversion costs in different ways but we are always happy to give guidance on prices.
